Building a factory faster with Critical Chain Project Management

Miłosz Garbarczuk, Plant Director at Hager Group, explains how they managed to achieve the record-breaking success of building a 1000-people factory in 11 months.

Two key elements: an efficient preparation phase, and the chosen approach: Critical Chain Project Management.

To reach such a short project duration, they spent months scheduling the activites and contractualising with external actors. They decided to enhance communication ,as synchronization in such projects is crucia thanks to dedicated daily and weekly on-site routines. It enabled them to rapidly identify and slove any conflict.

The project won the first place at the Polish project excellence contest in the infrastructure category.

They now plan to deploy the CCPM approach on their other projects to improve the On-Time Delivery Performance.
